CANCELLATION POLICY
Because we must commit to the exclusion of other activities and because we must make commitments to providers for food, beverages, and space when we schedule programs, if you cancel your registration for a paid event, we will charge a cancellation fee according to the following schedule:

CANCELLATIONS
All cancellations must be submitted in writing and be confirmed.

If you do not cancel or transfer at least 24 hours before the start of an event and you do not attend the event, you will not receive a refund. Requests for exceptions to the cancellation policy must be submitted in writing via email to education@TBRnet.org or by fax to (850) 561-3710, for consideration by the Professional Development Committee.

Cancellations received more than one week before the first day of an event will be granted a full refund.

Cancellations received less than one week before the first day and at least 24 hours in advance of an event will be granted a refund less a $5 administrative fee (this is for classes and events with a minimal fee). No refunds will be granted for cancellations within 24 hours of the start of an event.

For all designation courses (e.g., CRS, GRI) and events with a larger registration fee, cancellations received less than one week before the first day and at least 24 hours in advance of an event will be granted a refund less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations within 24 hours of the start of an event.

The Tallahassee Board of REALTORS® (TBR) reserves the right to cancel any program in the event of insufficient registrations. If, for any reason, the TBR cancels an event, the TBR assumes no responsibility for nonrefundable airline tickets or other travel costs. The TBR will make every effort to immediately notify registrants of a cancellation.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Registrants are expected to arrive to class on time. Registrants who arrive more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time of any class or event may risk forfeiting their seat in that class.

For classes which offer continuing education credit, attendance will be monitored to ensure adherence to Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) requirements. To receive continuing education credit, FREC rules mandate that licensees cannot miss more than 10% of the class.

WAITING LIST POLICY
Formal waiting lists are created as courses fill. The Tallahassee Board of REALTORS® (TBR) honors the order of waiting lists strictly and extends enrollment availability to students in the order they appear on the formal waiting list.

As seats become available up to the day before class begins, people from the waiting list will be registered (in priority order) and then notified of their registration at their primary contact number and email address listed in the TBR database. If a wait-listed person is subsequently registered for a class as space becomes available, it is that person’s responsibility to notify the Board office to cancel registration if they cannot attend the class.

On the day of the class, pre-registrants must arrive within the first 10 minutes of the scheduled start time of the class or risk losing their seat to people on the waiting list. After 10 minutes, any available seats will be given to those on the formal waiting list who are present, in priority order.

REALTOR® ENRICHMENT PROGRAM (REP) POLICY
For an enrollment fee of $59 for the calendar year, Tallahassee Board of REALTORS® members can register in as many REALTOR® Enrichment Program (REP) courses as they would like, at no additional cost for each individual class. REP enrollment is not transferable. Unlicensed assistants to TBR members may also enroll in the REP.

Participants in the REP are encouraged to register in advance for the REP classes they wish to attend, as participation in REP does not guarantee registration in any individual class. When registering for classes online, REP participants should note that for any REP class, their online payment option will be labeled “Charge Education Card.”

If a REP participant cannot attend a REP class for which he is registered, cancellation must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled start of the class; otherwise, that registrant will be considered a “no-show.”

If a REP participant is a “no-show” for three REP classes, REP participation will be forfeited and the initial REP enrollment fee will not be refunded. Registration in future REP classes will then require payment of the full member registration fee for each individual class, or re-enrollment in the REP.

MLS AND TECHNOLOGY COURSES
For all hands-on technology classes, the Tallahassee Board of REALTORS® has a limited number of laptop computers available to registrants on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrants who wish to bring their own laptop should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the class to allow for set-up.
