Usually held every Tuesday morning from 9 - 10 a.m. An opportunity to network with other members of your Board and market listings you may have. Educational speakers from real estate related professions also speak to help keep you informed on trends and changes in the industry.

 

As provided for in the TBR Bylaws, business meetings are generally held monthly on the fourth Tuesday of each month at a place and time designated by the Board of Directors to conduct the business of the Board. All members are encouraged to attend and participate. Information concerning dates and times may be found in eBoard Briefs newsletter or the TALLAHASSEE REALTOR® magazine.

The Board provides a wide variety of educational programs approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) for specialty and core law course continuing education credit applicable toward the renewal of your Florida real estate license. Through enrollment in the REALTOR® Enrichment Program (REP), you will be able to take a broad selection of classes. These classes give you an entry into a world of high tech information. Tallahassee Board of REALTORS® Legal Counsel, Joe Boyd, writes monthly articles for the Tallahassee REALTOR®, and is a monthly speaker, usually the 3rd Tuesday of each month, at the weekly marketing meetings. He gives in-depth explanations of legal issues affecting your daily real estate business. For answers to specific legal questions you may call the Florida Association of REALTORS® Legal Hotline Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at 407-438-1409 at no charge other than the cost of the long distance call.

 

The Tallahassee Board of REALTORS® Standard Forms Committee in cooperation with the TBR Legal Counsel has devised a number of standard real estate business forms to help you work more efficiently and to comply with various city, county and state laws. Forms are provided free of charge to Board members. The TBR forms are available through the Paragon MLS documents (printable) and on floridarealtors.org under TransactionDesk (fillable forms). Assistance with TransactionDesk can be found through the FAR Tech Helpline, 407-587-1450.

 

When Board members from different offices are involved in a commission dispute arising out of a real estate transaction, the Professional Standards Chairperson will assemble an experienced panel of Board members to conduct a fair and impartial hearing. Strict adherence to due process and NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Arbitration Rules and Policies is assured.

 

At your request, TBR will email an Excel file containing the names and contact information of TBR members.
